Student e-mail accounts with "yournamexxxx@student.elgin.edu" are now available. Student e-mail accounts at ECC are managed by Google GMail. If you'd like to set up an account, go to the ECC student portal:
Scroll down to the e-mail button and click "get instructions" to see the steps to get started. It's quick.
If you are not in the habit of checking your ECC e-mail account and if you have a different e-mail address that you check frequently, it is easy to forward ECC e-mail to your preferred account so that you don't miss anything important.
Your ECC e-mail is hosted by Google's GMail system and is very flexible. To set up forwarding, log into your ECC e-mail account. Click the "Settings" link at the top right of the page. That brings up a page with an "Add Forwarding Address" button. Click that and follow the instructions. Let me know if you have any problems.
